Your First Visit to Unicorn Dental Group

At Unicorn Dental Group, we’re dedicated to keeping you informed and want you to know exactly what to expect during your first visit with us.

Request an Appointment

Your first appointment consists of a consultation. We’ll review your current situation, explain your diagnosis, and cover your treatment options together, so you leave with a clear picture of your oral health and next steps.

What to Bring to Your Consultation

  • Your referral slip and x-rays, if applicable
  • A list of any medications you’re taking
  • Any known allergies or medical conditions
  • Medical or dental insurance information to be filed

What Happens After the Consultation

Occasionally, treatment can be completed the same day as your consultation. However, more complex treatment plans or complicated medical histories will require further evaluation and a second appointment for treatment. Please let our office know if you have a medical condition that may be a concern prior to surgery, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves or joints, rheumatic fever, or blood disorders.

If you’ve had x-rays taken in the last six months, please have your previous dentist forward them to us. If there isn’t enough time to send them before your appointment, please arrange to pick them up and bring them with you.

A Note for Younger Patients

A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 to their appointment.

If you have any questions about what to expect on your first visit, don’t hesitate to contact us today at (860) 635-3993. You can also review our financial information ahead of time to help your visit go smoothly.
